FAQ

What cut should I book?

All new clients should book a 90 minute session. If your hair is thick and past your shoulders, or you’re making a big change please book 120 minutes. These longer appointments allow for a thorough consultation that won’t interrupt the time spent executing the haircut. I also go over products and styling techniques in depth. I only charge for time used so if we finish early I can adjust at the end of the service. If you need more guidance on which timeframe to book please send me a message!

Where are you located?

In Brooklyn you can find me at Queen of Swords in Bushwick. In Austin I do pop-ups so the location can change but most recently I’ve been working out of Wild Desert Beauty on East MLK.

How often are you in austin?

I come to Austin every six to eight weeks. You can email me for exact dates or sign up on my email list to receive updates.

How do I reschedule?

You will receive an appointment reminder two days prior through text and email. You can confirm or reschedule as needed. If you need to reschedule before that time simply log back in to the profile you created through Square when booking the appointment. If you need further assistance feel free to send me a message. Please read about my 24-hour cancellation policy in your confirmation email.

How do I prep my hair?

Please come in with your hair worn either naturally or how you “normally” wear it styled. No more than a day old is best but if it still feels clean and looks good then I don’t mind it a little “lived in.”

Please don’t wear it in a ponytail or pulled back as I prefer to see how your hair falls naturally. ESPECIALLY IF THIS IS A CURLY CUT! I need to see your curls intact for best results.

Where can I buy product?

You can find all the products I use by clicking this link here: SHOP

What is drycutting?

This a technique where the whole cut is done on dry hair. This allows me to work with growth patterns, curls, cowlicks and density as they are.

Who is drycutting good for?

Everyone! However, I consider this type of cut best for those who wear their hair naturally (i.e., curly hair or wash-and-wear clients).

Do you do wet cuts?

Yes, I decide during the consultation if a wet cut is needed for the desired result.
